Evacuation cut short but even in war school and lessons still carried on
THIS week's memory comes from 76-year-old Norma Alliston, of Pilrig House Close. "When I was a small girl, nine-years-old and then Norma Brown, I was evacuated to the Borders (St Boswells) to be safe from the Nazi bombers in 1939.
