Nemmersdorf Massacre

At 0700 on 21 Oct 1944, Russian troops of the 25th Guards Tank Unit attacked the village of Nemmersdorf on the frontier of East Prussia. Russian troops held on to the village for no more than four hours and fell back; German troops returned to the town on 23 Oct 1944.
