Recon Scout
From World War II Database:
Recon Scout is the author's story of his time fighting in Africa and Italy in WWII. It reads much like the author was sitting with you at a campfire, recollecting his younger days. The book actually opens on a patrol in Italy, but then goes back to Mr. Salter's first days in the Army.
