Sir, His even on book covers and cvd cd cover's.
Thanks i never seen those extra pics before.
V = VICTORY
He shows up in lots of movies about the Battle of the Bulge, I think the original footage is from a newsreel because I've seen him in one before, the promblem is I've only seen footage of him that last a couple of seconds, the whole thing is probally in an archive some place.
Here is brief clip of him with other soldiers. YouTube - Waffen SS sharing cigarettes 18thDec1944,Poteau,Belgium
I have seen the whole film with the German Announcer speaking.(It was part of a propaganda film about the Ardennes Offensive) It is from the "bulge" and the film covered this group of Waffen SS men as they "Liberated" American cigarettes from a Wrecked vehicle. The film then showed the Waffen men move off in column. And it seemed to center on the "Famous" soldier quite a bit (Maybe he was the PK man's friend?)
I have seen a later photo from American sources, that shows the man on the far left in the last posted photo, (the man with the cammo covered helmet) dead, with a pack of American Matches under his hand. (Or so said the caption of the site I saw it at. One of the members swears it was the same guy....I wasn't so sure, they LOOKED similar tho.)
I found this vid...he is near the 0.23 to 0.26 of it, and the whole thing seems to have been shortened from the longer version.
Vid quality stinks
