I don't see anything wrong with Roddoss's poem about what could of happened, he's not glorifying war or Nazism in my opinion. We all lost relatives and friends in the war (even if we didn't know them) and not all of them were on the same side as ours. Now is the time to be looking at our own problems though.
You are extremely right about freedom of speech and goverments propaganda, and this is real problem we have to be looking at, surely. But this so-called "poem" demonstrates the uncovered offence and hatred at least for two peoples, of USA and Russian Federation, the countries whos people really lost their relatives. I don`t care just how it was composed, quickly or over-thought by details(i believe the second one).
I repeat again, i have no prejudes to any nation involved in WW2 conflict,my mother for example just return two days ago from Germany, I have a German freind who often visit me here in Russia, he has no leg, becuase he lost it by the mine(from WW2 period) blow when he was 6 years old, he is 62 now, and he rejects me even to tell him any name of the SS officers, while discussing some history, i dont agree that i should not, but this is his point of view.

Besides do not speculate with definitions, is there any difference with "glorifying war" with "glorifying Nazism" in this context? He is glorifying German possible advantage in the war, thus he glorifying war(its possible to talk about it, but not to glorify), and in this way he glorifying Nazi crimes. Agree, there is something wrong with the equalty to the opinion of the non-Nazi German soldiers here? I mourn for the memory of this soldiers, as to soldiers of other countries. Do not speculate with this memory, too.
I do not know why i have to explain it.

So by this definition films such as League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Skycaptain, The Indian Jones films and many others should be banned because they show a what if scenario? What about Return to Castle Wolfenstein this is a what if scenerio PC game that was very popular.
Please don't talk down to me, you don't have to explain anything to me. I personally wasn't offended and I was just stating this. I find it narrow minded that you were offended by this poem, we have enough problems in this world right now without others finding them in harmless poems based on pure fiction.
As for uncovered offence and hatred, what about the Germans and Japenese, ok so they lost but they have suffered 60 years of humiliation as the "bad guys" of films, PC Game, Books the list is endless but we don't hear them moaning and decrying that the world is predjudiced against them.

This "what if" films and games have one simple difference. They are correct in its appearence and ritorics. Return To Castle Wolfenstein is nice game, I like it, nothing offencive in it.
As for Germans and Japanese humiliatian in Hollywood films, i don`t like it at all,i fully agree with you, including many soviet films with "monster"-like Germans in it(BTW there is no any humiliation demonstrated officially by USSR or Russia to its citizens), i was discussing it for hours with my freinds, and I`m just tired to rebirth this discussion here. Not only Germans and Japanese, butthe half of the world still suffering humiliation in films and books. That is the half, that was unfortunate to be the opposite side for numerous of different Johns Ramboes.
