Yes Wittmann did go through two tiger tanks before VB. The first was tiger 205 his actual vehicle and the second was ? 231 or 234 before VB. For the actual battle he commanded tiger 212 into VB this is the tiger he had most of his kills in whilst entering and fighting in VB

Why would Wittmann jump back into an engine troubled tank LAH, or are you thinking it was a different iger that had engine problems?

Cheers, the two Cromwells were the first victims of Wittmann's Tiger in this battle, do you agree with that part?

From what Agte says in his book Wittmann grabbed the first tiger tank insight within the depression beside n175 (231 or 234) when he realised that the british were so close to his position. The tiger in question was at the time not started (remember this tiger had to stop and start continuosly on the march to n175). Once started and 20 mtrs down the road the crew started to tell him that the tiger was mechanically unreliable before he realised that himself, hence why he left the tiger and then took command of 212

I am also under the impression that Wittmanns first two kills were either two cromwells or two shermans as he destroyed 4 vehicles very quickly before entering VB. thee tanks were apart of A squadron so that might help
