I salute you all as well veterans:

I conformed company "L" which stands for Language in 1943 as soon as I joined the navy my company commander asked if someone had military experience which I did since I had attended the Citadel and several other military schools through out my young years. And the other requirement was To speak Spanish which I did also. I also was a physical Instructor and the names of other post 297 members are Walter KELIMOFF and a Cooper .
My brother who was a member of the infantry was waiting for hour zero when the japanese swam and put explosives on the bottom of his ship , ( was never found and was pronounced dead) a friend Donald Burns was nearby the zone and later told me what had happened , we never found his body.
