I have been getting a large number of bounced emails lately. I am then forced to manually delete each of them from the server.
I suspect some of the issue is due to ISP's and their prohibitive policies with respect to small mail servers. I am working with those that offer policies for correcting this but I'll be damned if I will pay money to be "certified" as some of them request. Some of the problem is also due to people having changed their emails/ISP's or having given false email addresses at the time of registration.
Using an email service such as Google's "gmail" (http://mail.google.com) and allowing the domain "worldwartwozone.com" as an approved sender should work for those of you with restrictive ISP's.
I am requesting that all of you confirm your email address in your profiles by going to World War II Zone Forums - Edit Email and Password. If it is wrong, please correct it. If you do not wish to receive emails from the site, please delete your subscriptions, change your subscription preferences, and change your email preferences so you do not receive any email from the site.
Any member from whom I continue to receive bounced emails will have their membership status changed to "pending email confirmation" and will have to correct their email addresses manually before they can access all of the site's features again. If you have concerns about your privacy, I remind you that we never share, disclose, or sell your email addresses or other personally identifiable information unless under legitimate court order to do so.
I apologize for having to take this action but it is necessary at this time.
