How many of you folks actually check all the calls and charges on your phone bill?

I was going through the list of calls made when I came across one that caught my eye...

Call Duration: 0.01 seconds.
Call Charge: 55 cents.

I know its not much money but come on, 0.01 seconds???
That has to be a world record for the fastest phone conversation ever.

The aussies here will understand when I say that, yes I am with Telstra.




Going on to a different subject, "Religious Nuts."

Most are pretty harmless but others need to be locked up.
Here is someone who IMO fits into the second catagory.




To be honest I felt like I wanted to slap (hard.) some sense into her and those church followers while watching that interview, but I think this aussie in the next clip has a better way of dealing with them.



Yes, take the p_ss and mess with their heads while having a laugh, all at the same time.

Dave, when I started to read your post I thought 'this'll be a Telstra thing' and sure enough...you're with Telstra.
When we moved into this house five years ago, we were with Telstra. We had a new line installed and when we got the bill maybe a week later, they were billing us for calls to Liberia, Ethiopia and Sudan! Big, long calls too...the bill was about six hundred bucks. Suffice to say we didn't pay and we're no longer with that particular provider. Once, they rang us to try and woo us back. The guy asked me 'what do we have to do to get you back with us?' to which I replied (honestly) 'Mate, if you were here right now in my dining room providing sexual favours for both my partner and myself I still wouldn't consider it!' They're thieving bastards mate and they've become complacent. Optus is fine...they recently fixed our phone line free of charge. Try getting that out of old Sol Trujillo.

Same here. We changed from Telstra a few years ago now and it's way cheaper as well as being correct with the bills. Not to mention the internet. With Telstra if you went over it was 15c a meg. Easy for that to get really bad. Also, about three times all out email 'disappeared' due to server problems. Each time we were credited for the loss - $5 off our bill - too bad about the emails of course. Stuff that.

Yeah I know its pretty old now and I only included it because I loved the way Firth dealt with them in the second clip. (Classic.)

And I know what you mean about Sean Hannity, we have plenty of reptiles that call themselves journos here in Oz too.
But IMHO, Fox News in the US takes the cake for serving up biased, misleading and right-wing BS.
(Fox should be re-named "Republican News & Propaganda.")

You've heard Nick talk about the poor quality of news etc, that our commercial TV stations pump out, but hear him praise our two remaining "free to air" stations the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission.) and SBS.
He is dead right too.

The ABC and SBS are the only two TV stations here in Australia that are soley tax payer funded and truely independant, so what's shown on the news isn't directed and controlled (manipulated) from "Upstairs," unlike the other stations here.
(Not to mention that the programs in general are better quality than that commercial junk the others show.)

Keep in mind who owns Fox Dave...an ex-Aussie who can't seem to keep out of Aussie affairs now.
I know people who get their opinions from tabloid TV journalism. According to them, the streets are ruled by gangs of armed teenagers (what?!), every man is a child molester (huh?!) and criminals have fun in prison.

I saw that 'God Hates Gay People' vid on YouTube about six weeks back. Makes me wonder. If man was 'creatd in God's image' (their words not mine) then God must think being gay is just fine. Otherwise He wouldn't have made them. These people seem to be operating under the rather naive misconception that people choose to be gay. I couldn't be gay any more than I could be black...how come they never made that leap themselves?

True again Dave about the ABC and SBS. I don't feel patronized when I watch any program on either channel...even the kid's TV. I watch channel 9 and feel like I need a shower.

You don't have to remind me about Mr Murdoch being an ex-aussie.
(I guess we do export some of our large native reptiles to the US.)

IIRC, both he and Mr Gates have followed the same principals of the "Gordon Gekko School of Business" and in fact Rupert still continues to follow them.
(And thats why he gave up his Australian citizenship. How noble of him.)

I'm not surprised he's involving himself over here now, his boys in the US have been voted out and after some of the dirty tricks Fox have pulled over the last two presidential terms, he's laying low over there.







Did you know the Baptist "Church" that was protesting is not affiliated with any other Baptist church or religious group and only have just over 100 members in it.

No surprise?

Well it will be no surprise to learn that about 80% of them are actually related to each other.
(I think their "Gene Pool" has been in need of an urgent infusion of fresh DNA material for a long time now.)

There's been an observation that "gay" people have larger cluster of cells in their hypothalamus upon birth and that it could be linked to birth and not "chosen". Though some people choose it, some don't. But nothing in psychology can be proven because there's always the exception to the rule..

Well I've talked to (questioned) a few gay guys about this and they all agree they always knew deep down they were gay, even from a young age they knew they were that way inclined.

Besides that who cares what they do to each other?
As long as they don't try involve me in their private business, I don't really care what they do.

I even went out with a bisexual girl for just over 12 months when I was 21.
(WOW!!! is all I can say about that.)

Gays are not evil or bad people and Homophobia is nothing more than an irrational fear of a closed mind.
