    I kinda doubt that the U-boat was surfacing. It looks a little 'dead' in the water? I could be wrong though. There does seem to be some bubbles.Thats about it.

    I was kind of back and forth on the fence with it as well and just decided to go with the info that came with it.

    I think that one of Bismark might be a stern shot or is the ship going backwards ?

    There would be a large "V" shaped wake behind the ship if that was the stern and the ship was moving forward. That is the "bow wave" being pushed away from the bow. Unless the ship "is" indeed going backwards. That is possible.

    OK. In that case it still qualifies since that would be a bow pic. Hard to tell.

    Even better, if you look at that shot you can see the "splash guard" on the deck which is always placed on the bow, not the stern. Also, those appear to be two anchor chains on the center of the deck.
