New skin discussion

The new skin was custom designed for us. It can be tweaked some if there are issues.

This thread is to discuss the skin and for suggestions to be made. Bear in mind, that suggestions are just that, and I will do what I believe is in the best interests of the site. That said, I am fairly flexible.

Re: New skin discussion

I rather like the new skin. The colors are much easier on the eyes when reading several posts. Plus it feels more like a "Zone" now rather than just a generic discussion borad on any old topic.

I love the skins. Seriously, it is great. That comment about it looking like a forum instead of generic discussion board is true....though I did like that too HAHA.
Nice Job.

Seriously, thanks all (so far so good anyway).

Re: New skin discussion

Looks very nice. Color theme, the header, background - all look pretty sharp.

The only problem I see from my end is that this box I'm typing in, and the outline of the box below which contains the icons, run off the center brown table. I'd bet it has something to do with Firefox, which I'm using. However, it's really not a big deal at all.

Thanks.

Yes, that is a Firefox issue and has more to do with the architecture of vBulletin than with this skin. It seems to be less of an issue with the fluid width version, at least on my screen.

Re: New skin discussion

I like it very much. It looks more "official" now. Very good job Jim.

Re: New skin discussion

I think the overall look is fantastic. This isn't something I usually comment on, but I think the color schemes are very well done. Everything stands out sharply, but it isn't hard on the eyes. Kudos to the custom designer!

Re: New skin discussion

Maybe I'm just old and my eyes are going... but nevertheless, could I request a boring ol' black-on-white skin?
