Chat Rm, UGH!

I know Jim has been looking into this, but its a bit of a drag to sit in there all night waiting for someone to show up, and no one does cuz they don't know yout there. Any update to fix this?, or we looking at doing at the top of the hour??

When not tied up elsewhere, I stop in at the top of the hour. Works for me.

Do you leave the setting on so you hear a sound when someone enters? If so, you can do other things and leave the room open.

There is no easy fix as I said. Because the server serves the chat for this site and three others, it will show as "in use" if anyone is in a room on any of them.

The first place I went to, after I did my intro thread, never "done it" before, but it was interesting to check it out and see who was there and peoples general thoughts, off from thread topics here.

Yeah but you could just log off, and then come back on and say "hey, where's my two drinks?, i just got here".

As Tom has mentioned, two additional permanent rooms have been added to the chat. One is for game specific discussions and the other is called "Sidebar" where a couple of folks can go to have a more specific discussion.

To access these rooms, simply click on the "Door" icon at the top of the chat window. One can also create temporary rooms which will close when the last person exits. Password protection on those rooms is optional but can ensure privacy if necessary.

I'm a Private right now, learning the ropes.
Chat rooms sound familiar.
I want to be respectful.
I'm new.
But I have a couple of questions at the moment...
Do we have a Barracks here?
I tend to dwell in there a lot.
Is it permissible here to talk about food and drink?
Can I post pictures of things I find to share and look at with my posts?
