For a new Russian, Eastern front forum maybe in the future?

With enough interest I could see an Eastern Front area. Might be nice to keep it separate from the rest Europe due to scale of fighting there.

By ETO you mean Eastern and not European right?

If so that sounds like a great idea. There is a lot of things about the Eastern Front that I don't know about and would like to learn

Right now we have 8 threads running in Europe that pertain to the Eastern Front. Do you guys think we would have enough traffic in the future to warrant a separate forum on the Eastern Front?

Some kind of "general" Eastern front forum, compared to the 8 we have here now maybe, at some point in the future????

Cheers, just a thought that might be considered at some point. Right now, no, there is not enough member interest it seems for a whole new forum for Russian topics, I think anyways...... From armour to the average soldier (or General even) that served in the Russian armed forces, many topics can, and should be included there, if one ever gets put up here at some point.

If there is an interest and we will have the traffic to justify it, I'm sure Jim would be more than happy to open a new forum on the Eastern Front for
tactics, battles and so fourth.

I just would rather we did not replicate threads. As an example for Russian armor we have a Land Warfare section that could use a few threads on T's or KV tanks, artillery and so forth.
Air Warfare is wide open for threads on Russian aircraft, as is personal weapons.

Our hope here is to have an international mix in all our threads. We are just waiting for those with expertise on such things to arrive and get posting.

Good points on the armour and air topics.

An Eastern front section could then be used to concentrate on personalities, battles, and campaigns rather than equipment. I find equipment threads in other forums which are placed in this theatre of operations tend to cross over to other areas an awful lot.

Keeping it to particular subjects would be great.
