These are 113 px in height and I could easily adjust them to 120 or so.

How's the enlisted ranks?

That series did not have enlisted ranks but came from the US officers insignia on the Wiki NATO page. I believe that the enlisted ranks also came from there.

I like the smaller officer ranks. It should be able to find enlisted ranks that goes well with these.

Maybe its just me, but I will take a "pass" on using these instead of what we have now......

Well, for my vote, I like these a lot better than the current. They look a little less ostentatious to me, and I would personally prefer having this format instead. Any reason why we cannot have user preference?

It can be done but it would be a pain in the neck for me. Ranks in vBulletin are based on a member's "primary user group". Besides me, everyone here has a primary user group of "Registered Users" and the ranks are based on that. In order to switch someone to an alternate set of ranks, I would need to manually move that person to another user group which would need to be set up with an entirely new set of ranks. For obvious reasons, I'm more than a bit reluctant to get involved in people PM'ing me every time they want to change.

So I think it's best if we stick to one system.

I think some folks are thinking it is broken Tom. Otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion. Certainly the ones that I have put up there are quite a bit more... sedate. I agree with you on that for certain.
