What kind of tank is this?
What kind of tank is it in this photograph? It was seen on Bougainville in the Solomon Islands. It's probably dated in early 1944, as I noted in the caption.
WW2DB: [Photo] African-American troops of the US Army 24th Infantry Division advancing behind a tank, near Empress Augusta Bay, Bougainville, Solomon Islands, circa early 1944 Please help. Thanks! |

Re: What kind of tank is this?
I have definitely ruled out M4A1. What variant do you think it is? A3?
