Reconnaissance at Korocha (SASL Interactive Game)
PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD. IT WILL BE USED FOR PROVIDING OFFICIAL UPDATES/INFORMATION TO THE PLAYERS FOR THE SCENARIO SUCH AS WHEN ORDERS ARE DUE AND ANY EXTRA DETAILS I NEED TO COMMUNICATE TO THEM.
SCENARIO NAME: Reconnaissance at Korocha LOCATION: Korocha, Russia DATE: May 14, 1943 TIME: 06:00 SITUATION: During the time frame leading up to the German Offensive at Kursk the front lines are still very fluid in many places. In order to gain pre-attack intelligence for the upcoming Kursk offensive the Germans and their Allies conduct limited reconnaissance on the salient's southern flank with small probing attacks. The village of Korocha is once such place, being located to the northeast of Belgorod and south of Kursk. On May 14, 1943, 2 German Infantry Companies supported by 2 Italian Infantry Platoons advance on the small village from the west. Information on enemy forces in the area is extremely limited but it is expected there is at least a company of Russian Infantry defending the village. The weather is Clear with a Mild Breeze. All buildings are wooden, single level structures. Here is a large, very detailed map that will be used for the mission. Axis forces will enter from the bottom (West). I recommend downloading and saving the map to your computer so you can refer to it when needed, rather than accessing it from the link each time (it is about .25MB in size in max zoom).

Re: Reconnaissance at Korocha (SASL Interactive Game)
The screenshots that I will post here showing the current situation (that you will use as reference to plan and submit orders) will be of the same zoom level as the base map in the 1st post so there should be no problem with seeing what is located where. Hex ID's should also be easily visible.

Re: Reconnaissance at Korocha (SASL Interactive Game)
I have updated the SASLOnline Website. I cleaned up the typo's and added a section on the Sequence of play. I hope to get most of the things you all may have questions on posted there for easier reference rather than you having to scan through all the threads and posts.
Make sure you refresh your browsers when loading the pages for the 1st time since revisiting and me having made the changes so you see the updated pages; PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD. Luckily they are only pinned, take no casualties and do not break. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - HQ/B CO - Fires at Hex 17/AA7 and discovers an SU-76M hidden in the woods causing no damage. The SU-76m returns fire with 2 rounds but also causes no damage. 1st Plt/B CO - Advances East into the woods and the ATR takes a flank shot at the newly found SU-76m. The round hits but causes no damage. They also discover that there are no enemy in 17/DD6 ("?" removed). 2nd Plt/B CO - Advances Northeast into the woods. 1st SQ is fired on by a Russian Infantry in the building at 17/S6. No damage is done. 1st SQ returns fire but it is equally ineffective. As 2nd-3rd SQ creep up to the woodline they find the building at 17/R5 is empty ("?" removed). 3rd Plt/B CO - Advances East across the road toward the plowed field and comes under heavy Russian machine gun and rifle fire from the buildings at 17/S4 and 17/W4 but fortunately find the building at 17/U5 is empty ("?" removed). 1st SQ breaks under fire just as they cross the road but the rest of the platoon is able to continue the advance into the field in the direction of the building at 17/Z7. They rout back to Lt MS but are unable to be rallied. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Greenish-Yellow "?" counters in the screenshot are the ones that are referenced in the AAR above.
