Re: Next battlefront game
Okay.
Russian Fire phase. The T34/76 takes a shot at the disordered Panther - no worse but still in trouble. The SU and KV move forward with the infantry swarming along. The recce unit moves around the Panther and uncovers more trenches. An Ostwind is also spotted just behind the JagdPanzer (model isn't here at the moment so just take my word for it). At the top woods the T34/85 and troops assault the trenches. The brown T34/85 is rushed forward between the JagdPanther and Panzer. This is a must hit for these two as they cannot fire to their flanks. If they don't stop the T34 it still has most of it's second action left and will be in a position to hit their flanks with no shot back. A nice move by the Russian commander. It is now the German Defensive fire phase. They will need some good shooting to stop the forward elements and give themselves a chance. |

Re: Next battlefront game
Yes. What you have done is really good. Although the T34 hasn't much chance of advancing further because it will probably be suppressed or worse, it forces the Jagd tanks to fire at it - or at least one will have to. Even if it is destroyed it takes fire away from your advancing units on the flanks.
Good work with the planes and even the artillery chipped in this time. The Russian artillery commander is starting to think he may remain a baritone after all. Just a note here too - the brown T34 has completed one action and started it's second action. It still has about 13" to go in the second action. It is stopped there to allow the Germans to have an opportunity shot which is allowed at anything having a double action move or any unit that can be hit in the flank in either of it's move actions. This is important here as the Germans don't want to allow the T34 to get on the flank so they must at least suppress it. If the don't it continues it's move and will end up (guessing here) pointing into the flank of the JagdPanther, forcing it to move. |

I figured that with the full movement, but it is turn 5 and I need to get going here, I can just hope the Germans are sleeping or maybe just over excited about the burning wrecks of my tank Core right now, and miss some of these critical shots.........

Re: Next battlefront game
We aren't sleepy at all actually, and are giddy with the prospect of more Russian Cookouts. Marshmellos are on our bayonets, and we have the graham crackers and swiss chocolate ready to go!
