Re: Next battlefront game
German artillery phase.
Heavy guns come in along with the dreaded Nebelwerfers. The advance troops are the main targets for the guns. One unit in the centre is eliminated. The Nebelwerfers come in on the troops passing the SU-85. This could be nasty as these things are very good against infantry and cover a fair area. Lot's of suppressions, a couple of disorders, and a company commander eliminated. Not good for re-ordering. The Russian units are a bit thinner now. Next is German offensive fire followed by movement. |

Re: Next battlefront game
German offensive fire phase.
The JagdPanzer fires at the retreating SMG units with no effect. The Ostwind picks on a section behind the turretless T34. An elimination. In the centre trench area one Russian section is disordered by infantry fire but the rest remain intact. No other fire. The German lines remain strangely quiet after the first shots..... the calm before the storm ? The Russian troops strain to see movement of any kind in front of them but see nothing.... scary. One unit of German troops in the trenches fails to reorder but keeps it's position. It is now time for the Russian defensive fire phase. |

Re: Next battlefront game
Russian defensive fire phase.
The Ostwind and JagdPanzer are too far away for the infantry to affect so all shooting is concentrated on the German troops in the centre trenches. The SU joins in for something to do as well. The disordered Germans remain the same after the smoke clears but the section which was reordered is now disordered by some excellent long range shooting. Both units in the trenches are now vulnerable to attack as they are disordered..... End of move. It's now time for the Russian artillery and one strafing run as well. Pic to come soon. |
