Kesselring

He was brilliant in Italy Mark Clark was glad to see the back of him when he went to the western front. Although Clark admired him. He never tried to distance himself from war crimes under his leadership or committed by his men. He was a "soldier to the last day." They charged him with war crimes. He testified in Goering's trial and also stated that he would testify against British, Russian and American officers possibly for their crimes. Though of course in the allies hypocrisy of high flying ideals this was turned down might is always right. He was sentenced to death which was commuted to life and got out in 1952. He never disrespected his fuhrer even when people were being hung right left and centre for less. I admire the man and his courage this is true valour

I agree wholeheartedly. Others used Kesselring as a way of making themselves look good when they needed too.

He was a real professional soldier who ended up being a Luftwaffe commander as well.
