Invasion of Pearl Harbor?

Lets say the Japanese figure to go all out on the first attack. Bringing with
them everything they need to sustain a landing and conquer Hawaii.
Yes the logistics problems would be there for resupplying, but....

I think they most certainatly could have taken Hawaii, thus cutting off the
Americans from the rest of the Pacific.

The Allies only counter would be its Carrier force, but you can't sink an island.

So, what would happen after this? ideas welcomed, and remember i do have
a bunker, it doesn't like Tiger II tanks, but now i'm in the Pacific

According to the books....yer right, the carrier force would have been helpless..and just run away home. And After some fighting,the IJA and IJN would have taken the Hawaiian Islands. We would have had to add the Islands to another one of our Island Hopping strategy. And the place would have suffered the Japanese Occupation, and all that came with it.

Interesting idea. I think it would have set the US back a bit....We still would have won...but the cost would have been a tad bit higher.

Yeah me and books don't happen too much unless they have alot of pics.

I'm wondering too if the Japanese had Pearl, and then started to use it as a
base in which to operate their subs from??, the whole west coast would be in trouble. Also no need to invade the Aleutian's, Midway?

I think they would have used Pearl as base for the IJN and used our airfields to raid Mainland USA. Very possible. They may have still taken Midway to secure supply lines tho. I Don't think the Aleutians would have even been considered. Not much up there...and not a real threat.

Thanks for the information. I am actually working on a game project that would focus on just such an event.
