Re: What if Hitler had died.

With Hitler dead, it would fall to Himmler or Martin Bormann. Realisticly Bormann or Speer would have got the job,by the time the power struggle was over it would'nt have made a difference. Although the Ardenne offensive would have probibly been canceled and units earmarked for the opperation transfered to the eastern front. But the polictial deal was the Soviets got Berlin.

Salutations Kurtiss Thomas

I reckon they would have buried him.

Sir, it would not change a thing, the war was nearly over.
If it was at the start of ww2, we will have more to talk about!

Re: What if Hitler had died.

He just will never know, that he loose the war.. nothing any changed at the period..
Himmler obviously was enthroned, not sure about Bormann.. there are some opinions- that he was already soviet contragent this time(since the 20-s(!!!) as one soviet Marschals appealed before death).
Btw his grave suddenly was found on Lefortovskoe Kladbische (Cemetary) in Moscow in the middle 70-s, nobody gave explanations bout it, it seems to appear from nowhere (unapproved, some say that is another unknown Bormann, but the fact is - the grave on the one of the "state" graveyards of the Russia with the name of Martin Bormann on it, dated 1900-1973, im personally saw a foto of it)
