Cybo,
I'm curious about this poster. I would think there wouldn't be much of demand for a WWII genre movie during the post-War years for all the (seemingly) obvious reasons. I know my question is off-thread, but if you have the time, I'd like to pick your brain on this.

I really don't know much about it, Hal. Never saw it and from what I've read it was a B-flick with little historical relevance.

From what I gathered it was the sort of movie that if made today, Paris Hilton would of played the part of Eva Braun.

Here's a link I found:

Re: Women of the Reich

This is true, but the majority survived and bore the mental and physical scars of their service and of the Third Reich itself until ripe old ages.

Not sure about the 'majority' part surviving. Whatever the percentage of those who did live to a ripe old age,and I doubt there were many, suffered far worse than the average German woman in the hands of the Soviets. (being in uniform)
I have read a lot of those who are apologists for the Soviets, but such are the misfortunes of war. And the Soviets were not the only ones. Like I stated, I shudder at their fate. Sad, looking at their pictures.

The one with her back to the camera appears to have a gas mask hanging over her shoulder.

That's exactly what that is. Although not unlike many soldiers in the field, she was probably carrying something in that container other than a gas mask.

Believe me I think she was the one that probably had her mask... The soldiers tossed them... I remember reading accounts of all the weird oddities that the road into Russia was littered with at the beginning of Barbarossa.
