Hmmmm Have any of the DRK? (German Red Cross)

Some of the ladies in the CHG have gotten a unit approved that will portray the DRK. I was wondering if there are pictures of them around...

While looking for something completely unrelated on the web, I stumbled across these shots!

The pic names are "auschwitzpic#.jpg" and there are SS officers in these pics. They are marked as being from the US Holocaust Museum. Although quite possible, I'm not convinced they are related to concentration camps. The SS uniforms and insignia are early war or even prewar by my eye which indicates they may not be Waffen SS. They don't appear to have any battle awards either. The girls appear to be Germans as per their uniforms but what would they be doing at Auschwitz?

Interesting pics none the less.
