Interesting pics. Goeben - Churchill said something like "Never has so much misery and destruction been carried in the compass of one ship". Something like that.
I think Marlborough had the distinction of being the only British capital ship to be damaged by a torpedo at Jutland. |

That is correct. AE1 disappeared somewhere around New Guinea in 1914.
AE2 actually came through Albany. She was towed to Egypt for operations in the Dardanelles and became the first sub to penetrate to the Sea of Marmara, before being sunk by shellfire after an adventurous trip. (1915). Both these E class subs were built by Vickers Armstrong. |
