Some of these look like they would have fitted in with the Keystone Cops. Still, they had to start somewhere.

German troops testing the capability of British tanks in traversing trenches

These British "female" Mark 1V tanks are believed to have been captured by the Germans in the Battle of Cambrai, November 1917. They were repainted them with German crosses and given the names of Liesel and Fritz.

The very same A7V that ended up in the Queensland Museum.

Say what you want 'bout the monster that A7V was but the Germans sure had good names for 'em or how 'bout...

Wotan
Herkules
Hagen
Siegfried
Cyklop
Totenkopf
Gretchen

To name a few others of the in total 20 A7V that saw service durin' the Great War.
