The French cruiser Gloire. This camo scheme, known as "Razzle Dazzle" was developed by the British in an attempt to confuse U Boat crews as to the ship's course.

Waffles: Mainly because most camo was designed for Trench Raiders, teh gents who would painstakingly cross No Man's all night long inch by inch to get within range to either sneak into the enemy or surprise raid them. All those colors are really dark in the dark and ironically at least when there's not much light or flares, it does do well to break apart the outline of the human head. Red especially will go to a very dark color in the darkness.
