Talking goebbles stuff

i just bought a copy of joseph goebbles diary. it's a copy from 1948. it only cost me 5 bucks. i had been thinking about buying it for a few weeks now. i finally had some extra cash so i got it. when i got home i opened it up and noticed an old newspaper page. it was a book review from the new york hearled tribune from april 25th, 1948. the review was for goebbles book. i don't think the book store owner knew about it. it's awesome. and all for only five dollars. well, i just wanted to share. i don't have anyone to talk to about these things much.

Congratulations! Seems like you got something for your five bucks. I'd love to read it myself one day. But it is not really allowed in Austria to own a copy of that book. But I got a copy of the Letters from Rudolf Hess he wrote during the Time in Spandau.

Enjoy your book.

Ja. It's a real pitty. But I got my sources for that kind of stuff. Altough it is forbidden it is not impossible to get your hands on.

It is a pity when books and the like are banned. It just makes me wonder what there is to be afraid of, or to hide.

Re: goebbles stuff

if folks start reading, they get smarter. if they get smarter, than they ask more questions..... that's what is frowned upon.

I guess it all depends on 'what'.. you read. If one starts from day #1, and go back to day #1, they may have missed a lot.

residenrzombie hit the old nail on the head. Comprehension is a key word....that is, is depending on 'what' one reads. Two sides to every,ahhh...heavenly body. Some people read nothing but comic books or fiction, or what is passed off as 'History'.

Re: goebbles stuff

i started with the understanding that i didn't know squat. my biggest problem was figuring out where to start. it can be hard retaining all the information of just one book, no matter how much i enjoy it. since i have tried to sick around a certain time period, i have been reading about some events over and over again but from different author's views. it helps.
i decided to start reading irving's 'war path' before i begin my goebbles diary. i want to save it for a good rainy day. since it rains here almost everyday, a good rainy day is when it rains and i don't have to work.
