Unser Amerika

My mother recently purchased a box of books at a local auction. In that box was a book titled Unser Amerika. It was written by Colin Ross and published in 1937 by F.A.Brockhaus / Leipzig.
My German is not that great but I can tell that it is basically a tribute to F.D.R. for his efforts in creating the "Great Society" in the 1930's in America. A lot of Nazis really liked F.D.R. before the war and this book outlines the fascination that pre-war Germany had with the Amerikaner's "Great Society".
Think about it for a minute, all of the government sponsored programs, CC camps, etc., not that far off from early 1930's Germany...... fascinating.

I wish my German was better,
razorboy

Re: Unser Amerika

My German is no longer strong enough for an entire book. Klaus would be the better candidate.

Sounds like a fascinating read though.
