I was talking with a Norwegian service engineer at work today and he was telling me he found an account of life in Norway during the war his Dad had written. He has been translating the notes into English and hopes to publish the accounts as a book next year.
His Father was actively hiding Norwegian Jews and helping them escape to Sweden. The engineer was telling me his Dad was quite bitter towards those Norwegians who were assisting the German occupiers to round up the Jews and how the whole thing was swept under the carpet after the war.
The good news is he left a copy of everything he has translated so far for me to read. Noy read any of it yet but sounds interesting.
Obviously, as this guy wants to publish this I'm not going to put anything here as I feel this would be betraying a trust but thought it was good of him to give me what he has.
I have attached a couple of newspaper articles on his father, not sure if we have any Norwegian speaking members but it may give them the gist of the story.
