Wow, those are some pretty nifty graphics! Look about as good as my PS2 games. Now, pardon what may sound like a silly question, but: I get the Gunner's View, and think it way cool to sight targets; but what specifically is the Radio Operator's View...I mean, what does he do in there? Obviously, he's handling communications...but what's his role in the game, and how does he carry that role out?

The radio operator is also a "hull machine gunner". I'm guessing that's what you are seeing in this shot:

The game's interface relies heavily on a mind-boggling array of keyboard commands. The "mouse tank" feature, an onscreen line diagram showing your tank's heading and the relative position of the turret and hull, lets you give basic commands through a pop-up menu to members of your tank platoon, either individually or as a group. You can also use the pop-up menu to jump to different crew positions, such as the loader, gunner, driver, radio operator/hull machine gunner, and commander. However, you'll soon discover there are many other useful commands that aren't displayed on the menu. Plus, in the heat of battle, the keyboard commands can be issued far more quickly.After experiencing difficulties getting my CH Products USB joystick to work correctly (a problem since corrected by the 1.06c patch), I switched to using the mouse and keyboard commands. This was the first tank sim that I'd ever played without using a joystick, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover how well it worked with the mouse.

The hull MG Gunner is the radio operator. He is responsible for maintaining communications inside/outside of the vehicle and defending the area forward from approximately the 10 o'clock to the 2 o'clock positions. Thhis is done with his MG34.

Hey RB...tank 243 looks pretty familiar...I think I might own one of those!

1. Does this game basically put you in command of your own tank or several ? I like being in one tank in computer games.

2. Is it a Windows only game ? I'm running OSX but if it is that good I will load Windows XP onto a partition and get that game.

It puts you in one tank with the option of switching to another tank should you need to. You do control all of the tanks in your platoon. Usually 4 or 5. I'm not sure what the hell OSX is but it will run on XP, that's what I run it on. It's a great game.

Magna, I'm sure that this game won't run on OS X.
