Re: Whose the better General?
Thanks!
![]() I'm continually amazed that they have the finese to sprawl out without distroying the game setup...sometimes...put miniatures on the table, and it's party time if left unattended. A few years ago, I got back to the table to find a searchlight counter suspiciously missing from my Raid of St. Nazaire game. Found the piece several weeks later with nice fang marks in it! The fellow on the left is Twizzler, and his brother Pepper on the right. Brother Maine Coons, and the apples of my eye! We've a third cat, little sister Zena, who could care less about checking out the games. The boys however love to get in on the action! |

Re: Whose the better General?
Ha! I hear 'ya....games first, eh? It's a game called "Band of Heroes" from Lock 'N Load publishing. If you're into the older chit pushing games, like AValon Hill, SPI, Victory Games, etc...this is one of the great next gen games out there. Absolutely gorgeous graphics, and a faitly simple game system. D-Day timeframe. It plays amazingly well solitaire, too. I saw it at Origins Game Expo last year...the designer, Mark Walker, demoed it for me and I was hooked! It has a couple expansions which add the Russians and British.
Go to my Moderator's Game Review section for a review of the game, and also the website for the game, where you can download a free demo version of the game (a scenario and may, with enough counters to play the scenario....playable many times just by itself! The website also has the rules download as part of the download demo. I highly recommend this game to all!
