Question What's the most expensive USED game you've ever bought?

What's the most expensive USED game you've ever bought? How did you explain it to friends and family...if you fessed up to begin with? Do you still own it?

I've only bought two used games; Avalon Hills game 'Luftwaffe' for $1.00 at a Goodwill store. And Avalon Hills 'Russian Campaign' for $5.00 at an antique store. The Luftwaffe game was even unpunched.

Good Lord, what fantastic buys; especially the Luftwaffe game...I've seen that go upwards of $50!!! NICE!

Considering the binder for ASL is amost 3" thick, that would take awhile (and copyright infringement would be a B)! If I ever get rid of my spare, Tommy, it's all yours, my friend!

Re: What's the most expensive USED game you've ever bought?

Pat, what version of the ASL Rules do you own...1st or 2nd Edition? I'm trying to decide if it's worth my wile to buy a 2nd Edition MMP, as I own a new copy of 1st Edition.

Re: What's the most expensive USED game you've ever bought?

I bought ASL as soon as it was released so i assume it is first edition, but does not say anything. The copyright is 1985. Looking at the binder I corrected it using the errata from the General.

Re: What's the most expensive USED game you've ever bought?

Yup, 1st Edition.

The 2nd touts that it's included 15 years of playtesting to revise the rules, and add in some extras not there orignally. Supposedly has bigger font, which can be handy whan slogging through all that data, yet I wonder how many pages that would have added to the final product...the 1st Edition is pretty darned thick. I just can't decide whether to plunk money down for it when I have perfectly good 1st Editions. My old copy, that I use primarily, has a lot of work into it...like yours with the Errata, and hole reinforcement discs...plus I don't care if it gets dinged a little. The new copy I got for a song, and is still in the shrink...I orignally thought that, when I got comfortable with the rules, I'd break out the new copy like a fine champaign and use it, but I quickly learned it will be a lifetime to learn this sucker!

Decisions, decisions! I think I'll save my money for more ASL modules!
