Great East German Uniforms

i dont know if it would matter to some people but East German uniforms are basically the same thing are the old german ones. All you need to do is buy some patches, pins, etc. and your done. They are way cheaper and usually have a good selection to choose from. This is what i do, is just buy a cheap one and modify it. I found a great website but i cant find the address. They were only like $20-40 there. Ill try and find the address though.

Modifying?

To what? WW2 era?

I have an issue with this, if that is what is happening. Too many items like this are popping up in shows and the sellers are taking new collectors.

Oh no no. of course not. I do this just for fun. Im not going to sell them or advertise them. The website is simply a vendor of East German memorabilia. im simply stating that it is quite easy to modify them to make a close-to version of the ww2 uniforms. it can be hard to find the supplys for the unifroms. I have a hat that was modified. I myself have never actually done it but im trying to find some patches and things to change an officers uniform. I found the site. Ebay also can hvae some great deals on east/west german memorabilia. But keep in mind, i am not selling these for profit; im doing this for fun. I should hope that you would do that same.

Also, many reenactors do this. Keeps the cost down of their uniforms and i perosonally wouldnt want to go running around with a real one. They simply modify it and do a great job at it.

of course. Why would you run around in a peice of clothing thats 60 years old. Reenactors run around in the mud and dirt. I personally wouldnt want a uniform that i paid 3 thousand dollars for to get muddy and ruined. Not sure where you guys are from but uniforms other then US ones dont come cheap here.
