Can you identify this ring?

I'm confused....This ring clearly has the iron cross on it but, it also has West Front written on it in english. Is this ring german or not?

"Westfront" is actually german. According to the crown on the ring I'd say it is from World War part I. Aaaaand here it comes: I am no expert on those things.

Re: Can you identify this ring?

It is a World War 1 Iron Cross, as to whether or not it is genuine I don't know. If it is genuine I would have to say that the owner had it made, I don't think it would be military issue. Are there any other markings?
