Re: Group Build 6 month- open class (9-1-08) $$PRIZE

I've got a couple in mind for the 6 month build. PzKpfw II Ausf F with infantry on the advance into Russia. Love that 1941 stuff, besides, I've got a diorama that's been "Stuck in my head" for 34 years and I gotta build it.
Second entry will be WWI German Aircraft of some kind.... not sure just yet, perhaps that shadow box with 2 fighters in it I've planned for a couple of decades.

This is shaping up very nicely people. I don't know if I'll be able to participate this time but I can offer my services as a judge too.

Are we having judges, or is it just going to a public vote?

Were trying no judging this time, only public vote. In case of a tie tho we
could use PM here as a tie breaker.

I think the public vote idea is great.

Re: Group Build 6 month- open class (9-1-08) $$PRIZE

Here are my 2 entries:

Firstly, a P51B which I am going to do as a Mustang Mk.III of the RAF in Italy 1944. I have made a small start on it. I am modeling it wheels up as I am going to display it as a 'Corgi Warbirds' i.e., in flight with no pilot so I will display it with my diecast collection on a Corgi stand. I did the same with a P47 recently.

My second entry is a Halifax, I am going to model it as a GR2 in RAF Costal Command colours. I really just want to see if I can get the white right. This has the potential as a disaster, if so I will remodel as a Mk.1 and paint it black!!

I hope this is the right place to post, if not, please move mod!!

Wow. What a range already. Everything including an Aircraft carrier and a Halifax. Plus somebody mentioned miniatures and dioramas. The mind boggles with that one.

Does anyone know if there is a model available of the Sd Kfz 254 observation half track. I think it was Austrian. It had tracks and retractable wheels. Wierd but interesting as a model.
