A seasonal Hobby?

Just wondering how much you guys think the same on this. For me it is a
very seasonal Hobby. I start really putting out at about September thru
March. Then it starts to really slow down for me, to almost a stop in July & August.

Re: A seasonal Hobby?

Me too, with the summer around the corner I will be slowing down with the models. That said, we have just rented a summer house for 3 months and I will be taking all my stuff with me.

Summer time for me, when it is to darn hot and humid to do anything outside.

Not me...I do this all year 'round. When I'm not building, I'm thinking about it.

Re: A seasonal Hobby?

I'm a lot more model productive from October through March than at any other time.
I've got about 23 acres of "Yard" to keep mowed and my old 1949 International-Farmall Cub cuts it at just about 2 miles per hour. That requires most of my free time on the weekends from about May through September, at least every other weekend.

That you? rasorboy. I bet you save a lot on razor blades! My Dad had a Farmall many yrs ago. Like a p-38, easy to spot.

Wow RB, I thought I had a big yard!!! YIKES!!!!!!!! flammpanzer looks like an awesome kid! ...and I think it's great he's model kit building with 'ya!

Well, I only restarted model building again this past November, after an absence of around 30 years, so I can't say other than to project into the future: I'm with Geek44...I see doing this year 'round!

Re: A seasonal Hobby?

I am new to the hobby, but winter will be my really productive time as that is when I have my own place. In the summer I have a room, or just sleep in my cab. In the shoulder seasons, I am totally nomadic.
