Main reasons for my lack of buildin' lately

Here's the reasons why I haven't produced anything in the builds lately. The main reason is that I'm down with the flu n' high fever since a week but the other reason is that a friend asked me if I could paint some game figures for him n' I said yes thinkin' that it could be a nice distraction from the builds.

He's earlier been pesterin' me with the figures to anoyher boardgame but I've just laughed at that as it's at least 100+ figures in the middle earth game but five is ok even if the figures isn't that good.

More info on the game itself can be found here n' it's really an enjoyable game.
Board Games with Scott BGWS 016 - The Fury of Dracula

Well here's the result.

van Helsing

Dr. Seward

Lord Godalming

Mina Harker

Count Dracula

100+ figures? It would have to be a very good friend.

I hope you feel better. I know the flu is no fun at all having had it a share of times myself.

They look okay McCoy. The figures themselves are a little 'soft' though. When I was a kid I was the only one who painted my sets of Airfix plastic soldiers. The other kids at school used to get them and pay me to paint for them. Fifty cents here, a dollar there. This was back when a 1/72 Airfix kit was only $2.50

Well I'll be Nick!
I thought I was the only one shaking down the other kids for painted soldiers. I could buy a pack of 50 soldiers for 52 cents and make about 3 bucks off of one pack if I found the right buyer! That was a lot of money in 1968 dollars. I kept 'em, along with my gloss testors model paint in an old tackle box my old man gave me.

Thanks for that "Flash-back"

Thanks Mates, I'm still sick n' that's not just my ordinary sickness of stupidity. Yes, I prefer acrylics on figures due to the fast dryin' time, one day I'll try the other end of the scale n' test oils.

I have some French Resistance fighters of about the same scale, for use in my Memoir '44 game. I just bought this dandy little tool to assist in holding them while I paint...kinda an adjustable round vise on a wooden handle, with holes in the top for stainless steel pins for oblong shapes.
