Old kit help?

Well, one old one, and one newer one.

I seem to recall somebody making a figure set of frogment/scuba divers. Am I losing my mind? I've tried searching with several variations of the theme, and I can't find anything. Does anyone know of a kit like this? I actually want to do modern sport divers off the LCVP I have, but I want to use this (imagined?) old kit as a basis for some of the gear.

Also, isn't there a special figure made to put in the seat of the 20mm Flak gun? I think somebody did a figure for that, but I can't recall.

Any pointers?

Re: Old kit help?

I remember a se of frogmen and a landing craft in 1/32 or 1/35 that I got from an auction with some other stuff. They were in the box which I remember was a Monogram item. There was a landing craft or similar with it (not sure what it was now) and it was already made. The figures were good but I think they were one piece types.

As for the 20mm flak figure - there must be something around - maybe Resicast or similar?

Well not so old kits as both kits are less than a year old a think. But this could be a good start for you.

Re: Old kit help?

Aha! That's where I saw the gunner! Good figure, but I forgot he was reclined. Hard to fit in an armored car turret. I'll have to keep looking.

Alas, that's not the frogman kit I was thinking of. Interesting kit, but I'm looking for swimmers, scuba, tank on the back type. I hope I'm not imagining it....

Re: Old kit help?

And I thank you for it! I think it may be too old a kit to find, though.

Re: Old kit help?

If you can be bothered Tom, eBay might be an option. I peruse Aussie eBay a bit looking for bargains...if I see anything, I'll PM you a link.
McCoy's 'Maiale' kit was what I was going to suggest and yes McCoy, I think it is a very recent release...maybe within the last 24 months or so.

Re: Old kit help?

As a kid I had a soft plastic set of frogmen with a human torpedo. Too long ago to remember who made it. It sounds like something Heller would come out with.

Re: Old kit help?

That could well be it!!! Where did you find it???

Never mind, I just found one on e-bay.

Unfortunately, there was a problem with my account (nothing I did!) that I never got around to fixing. Mebbe I can convince the missus to order it for me?

Thanks, Hagen! I knew there was one out there, I just couldn't remember who made it!! I guess I'm not losing my mind after all!!!
