Re: RSO Early version
Pledge is brilliant stuff for washes too. It has an anti-osmosis effect which pulls the colour in the wash down into seams instead of it beading up and out onto the surface of the model. As each layer dries the next can be done in a different colour if required. It really is good for uniforms and the like if you are like me and not too experienced with highlighting. It is mixed half and half with water then you add a little bit to your paint for a wash. Very easy.

Re: RSO Early version
Great tips there lads! I've been wondering what Water-miscible Artist Oils can do...planning on some experimentation with those, as well. I've not used the Future methods yet, but I have been intrigyed with what you can do with washes, as Magna outlined!

It is amazing what can be done with stuff you can get from the supermarket for relatively low prices isn't it? Windex, Pledge, Hairspray, swizzle sticks..... |

Re: RSO Early version
Of course. I see now.
Add to the supermarket list the tape they use in 'Dymo' label makers. Excellent as straight edges for rescribing panel lines. Stick it on, scribe, peel it off. Too easy. Liquid Paper (Tippex) is good for small filling jobs like ejector pin marks. Can be sanded.

Re: RSO Early version
Dymo label tape. That makes sense. Sticks really well but can still come off when you want it to. Be careful with the Tippex - it's really poisonous (if it's the stuff invented by the mother of one of the guys who was in the Monkees - Mike Nesmith ?).

Re: RSO Early version
That's the stuff...in the little black and white plastic bottle with the brush in the lid. There's a 'thinner' available for it too. I just treat everything that smells that bad as 'toxic' as a matter of course. Better safe than hallucinating with a low sperm count I always say...although these days, I can see an upside to the second symptom.

Re: RSO Early version
Sounds like some rough stuff here...I like to stay as non-toxic as I can get.
