Can you believe this guy?

Nazi memorial to open in Wisconsin

I wonder if he put his service in the SS on his visa application. I bet he didn't as that would have disqualified him. Perhaps INS has already paid him a visit?

Re: Can you believe this guy?

What's interesting are the comments on the story (at the bottom of the article). A lot of interesting stories from decendants of Allied soldiers as well as those living under Hitler.

I just went and read almost all of them. I hope that the story was a magnet for deniers and hate mongerers and that the comments were not a typical "cross section" of public opinion. Scary.

I wouldn't be surprised if these comments were "cross section". After all there are loads of people out there that are a little underfurnished in the Brain-department.

Sadly my good friend, this is so very true. Still scary.

They are the real Untermenschen.

Re: Can you believe this guy?

Looks like Ted Junker's gotten himself in a bit more trouble:
SUGAR CREEK-Walworth County officials say Theodor Junker, a former Nazi Waffen SS soldier, had 20 to 25 people at his memorial to Adolf Hitler located in Millard on Aug. 25.

That many people created a public gathering on land not zoned for such an event, prompting the county to file a $2,000 civil suit against Junker, 87.

"They were there for over an hour," Assistant Corporation Counsel Michael Cotter said, referring to the members of the National Socialist Movement who Junker acknowledged were on his property. "They were doing something rather than just viewing (the memorial). There was a meeting of some sort or assembly."

Had Junker invited each person who attended, there would have been little the county could do.

But Junker signed a restraining order that closed the memorial to masses of people whom he didn't invite personally.

The National Socialist Movement, which had a rally in Madison on Aug. 26, publicized on online message boards it wanted to have a meeting at Junker's memorial...

Klaus,

There are many "White Supremacist" organizations in the US. There are no laws banning them as we have guaranteed freedom of speech. They also have a right to "assemble" so they are routinely granted permission to hold rallies and marches. Hakenkreuz included.

America's Nazi Party - National Socialist Movement.

The American Nazi Party

Jim,

Please mention also that in your country communist parties are also legal and have a right to "assemble". "Swastika" is equal to "hammer and sickle"...

Maybe instead of worrying too much about American freedom of speech, we should look, why in some countries T-shirt with swastika can earn owner three years behind bars, but T- shirt with Che Guevara at the front and "hammer and sickle" at the back, can at worst bring a couple more free beers in the pub...

Cheers,
