Me too! I think... I fell asleep. U571, if viewed as an action adventure, wasn't too bad IMO. As a historical piece, it sucked. But I'll give them credit, they at least made an effort for accuracy in uniforms and equipment! Except for the Kriegsmarine "destroyer," that is.... |

I on the other hand n' many with me rate The Thin Red Line among the very best war movies that's been made.

Richard Todd played his comanding officer in 'The Longest Day'. He was one of the paratroopers that took Pegasus Bridge.
