What's your favorite World War II movie?

It can be a battle movie or just a war story, fiction or based on fact.

Mine is Casablanca. What's yours?

They just had Von Ryans Express on TV this afternoon. About a group of WWII POW's that take over a train in Italy, and make a run for Switzerland. Pretty good plot, action was fast paced for it's time.
Only thing I did not like was the planes that attacked the train towards the end of the movie. I suppose they were to be Me109's but looked too much like Me108's (with rocket pods, no doubt). Guess there weren't too many 109's or FW's in the area to rent out.

I don't think I have a favorite, per se. Of course, being a retired Marine, Sands of Iwo Jima is right near the top of the list!

"A bridge too far", "The longest day" and "Stalingrad" just to name a few. There are a lot of good war movies out there.

Now I have not seen that many war movies but mine is "Band of Brothers".......Has anyone seen it????????Adil

Hi all,
My favourite movie is Das Boot and my favourite series is BoB.
There are a lot more fine productions out there though!!
