Re: What's your favorite World War II movie?
To quote Eastwood speaking to the director about his and Richard Burton's roles, "So he does the talking, and I do the killing right?" I like Clint, and even more now.

I would have to say Downfall the whole movie is in German and it's about the battle of Berlin it has a great dipiction of the Volkssturm and the Hitler youth plus how desperate the Germans were with there medical supplies and ammo.

Re: What's your favorite World War II movie?
Has anyone heard about "Valkyrie"? I understand it's about the July '44 plot to asassinate Hitler and will be out sometime in '09. Tom Cruise is slated to play von Stauffenberg. I know alot of folks are going to cringe when they hear that, but I'm willing to see how it goes.

I love Saving Private Ryan, but The Thin Red Line isnt a movie either.
My favorite series about WWII must be Band of Brothers. Superb acting and a good story!

Re: What's your favorite World War II movie?
Mine has to be the Battle of Britain; I wouldn’t be lying if I said to you that I’ve seen it more than 20 times, it’s a great reference movie too. I feel I have a “connection” with this movie, having watched many of the aerial combat scenes being filmed over Dover as a 9 year old.
