[quote=Wolster;17799From Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence to Hello PC Plod, I will have to take your word for it, she is not quite that age yet, thank goodness!

He's actually pretty good on Andy Pandy. I vaguely remember it from when I was a kid. It was in black and white and Andy was a puppet. Now it's full colour and animated models. Conti's accent is quite good...very posh. I doubt he'd have got the gig had he been from Yorkshire. How's the young one going mate?
Sorry Panzer... no clue here.

Ya think it's (the pic) is intended to make one hate Germans? Was he shooting or just moving them on? The "one picture says a thousand words" can mean what one intends a picture to be portrayed as. And a lot of movies are just plain fiction, but some take them as 'fact' ?

Not sure what you are saying here?? No, not all Germans were evil, just as America didn't win the war on its own. However, lots of civilians were shot out of hand and America did make a sizable contribution!

Re: New Stickey : Guess that Title

Wolster, do you think there's still stigma attached to 'Les Boche'? I certainly do. The very fact that many people can't seem to distinguish between 'The Germans' and 'The Nazis' and use the terms interchangeably illustrates my point perfectly. Even a more modern film like 'SPR' depicts the Germans (and their ring-ins) as dirty, underhanded scoundrels to an extent. The only film I've ever seen that depicts them as 'human' or as characters with any depth was 'Stalingrad' but of course that was a German film. Seems to me that the pics from the movie depicted above are indeed intended to portray them as 'dirty Krauts'...the stereotypical bad guys. My two cents.
Peace.
