"Action In The North Atlantic" with Bogart and Raymond Massey about the US Merchant Marine. It was released in 1943 but isn't not overly sentimental or propagandistic. Just tells of how important the MM was to the war effort thru the eyes of a crew of a Liberty ship doing the "Murmansk Run"-still pretty good viewing 65 years later.

Couldn't have said it better myself. For 1943 it is a good movie, good story.

Remember seeing that one about 15-20 years ago. It's about the ANZACs in WWI-pretty good. Paul Hogan definitely had some memorable lines. Speaking of the ANZACs has anyone ever seen "The Light Horsemen"? It's a film about the Middle East Campaign in WWI-nice depiction of the charge at Beersheba.
