Re: who has seen

one of my unit's members posted this:

This was another WWII television series, which was set turning the Italian campaign. While Combat! had a lot of action, this show had a lot of dialog. Combat! was so popular it spond new shows: The Gallant Men was one of them. It was only on one season, but for the WWII guy it's fun to watch.

Here is the closing credits with character/actor introductions

Re: who has seen

I've seen 'Cast A Giant Shadow'. It is the story of Mickey Marcus, the American who went to Israel to assist the Haganah and Palmach, the organisations that would morph into the IDF, during the War of Independence. Good Film, lots of stars, the main being Kirk Douglas as Marcus.

If you want a good read about the birth of Israel, read 'Exodus' by Leon Uris. The birth of Israel told through the prism of fiction. The best bit is that after reading it, you do a bit of background reading and you can place real people in place of the fictional characters.

I love Leon Uris. I swear I have read 'Battle Cry' in excess of 200 times.
