My grandfather.

This is my real grandfather that faught on Iwo Jima and saw the flag raising. Unfortuately, I never met him, nor even know his first name. And my other real grandather faught in Korea in US Air Force... I know nothing about him, nor have I ever seen a picture of him.
my only living granfather was the best man for my grandmother and faught on Iwo aswell.

Re: My grandfather.

Utmost respect for your grandfather from me!

My grandfather didn't speak English (that I know of) and he fought in a different theater (CBI), but I have a feeling that if we could put these two vets together, they would share so much in common.

Re: My grandfather.

As with the others "Prosit", unfortunate for you not to have been able to have met them, but it sounds like they were good guys who did their country proud.

Well, naturally I didn't meet my grandfather until he was older, and then he passed away when I was still young, so I don't see him as a prankster. But you never know what he's like in his olden days! ^_^
