Re: Aberdeen 09 - Who's in!!!

If the Zone gets so big 'til then that it can support the trip for me I will join you but otherwise it's not that likely.

Maybe Normandy and Belgium in 2010 or 2011? To be there for the D-Day commemoration would be cool. That's not as big a trip for you and lots of time to plan it. I think that there are a few of us Yanks that would be into it.

Thanks, for the kudos Jim!

I've been to Aberdeen twice and every time it gets BETTER! Besides the tanks and artillery, there is a nice indoor museum full of goodies too.

Last time I was there with a friend that wasn't really interested in the fine points of tank suspensions and muzzle brakes. I think I made him a bit crazy with my constant oooo's and ahhh's. However, he wasn't a ZONER...!

I think this could be a good ol' time for a bunch of us WWII o' files all in one place at one time. We all share a common mania. As long as they don't call the cops on us...

Well, I'm in too! I'll be unavailable the first week of June or so...25th Wedding Anniversary cruise. Mid-late July works best for me.

And I love the idea of Normandy-Belgium in 2010.....I'd do that one too!

Count me in for Europe as well.

I think besides the tanks BBQ and beer, this would be a great opportunity for some of us to get meet each other.

Now where's Dallas, he lives close to Aberdeen?

Re: Aberdeen 09 - Who's in!!!

June I could do, but getting time off for a trip in July or August is absolutely impossible. Great idea Paul!

From what I have been told June or September is best. You miss both the mid-summer tourist crunch and the heat.

A BBQ without waffles, is like beer without pretzels...it just wouldn't be right!
